Why Don’t Print Books Come With e-Book Download Codes? Good e-Reader
A good question... and some good answers provided here. Mostly because the publishing industry is fractured and flailing. I think printing QR codes on receipts at checkout is the best idea, but the DRM issue is way too fluid right now to come anywhere near a (near) universal system.
